Every time I would go to the store I'd eye the Master System on the top shelf there. Wondering if i should just get one or not. I was told not to by Sean many times. But when you have nothing better to spend credit on, what can you do? I talked to the guy working there about it and he gushed about the system. I asked to see Wonder Boy in Monster Land to see if it had a manual with it. It did. Yes that was my determining factor to get a MS or not; Did the game I want have its manual? So I picked it up.
When I got home I fiddled around with it, it turned on, and the Wonder Boy demo was playing. "Press Start". Uh whats start? Never having had a MS before I was confused. I pressed the "pause" button on the system but no go. I know what your thinking, "press the #1 button retard!". Well yes, i did. But i found out my controller was broken. So I went back to the store and he tried out various controllers and half of them didn't work. Eventually he found some that did and threw them all in with a new Master System! Kick ass!
So now I have finally completed my main Sega console collection. (No im not counting all the genesis 3's or ms 2's so on). Expect a Wonder Boy in Monster Land review soon. As an added bonus, I had forgotten there was a game already included in the MS's hardware. Ok yeah so the snailmaze game sucks but it's neat..
